The power of a giggle
Yesterday I went to a memorial gathering for my neighbor, Valucha. I have never met Valucha, as she was sick the moment she moved in a few months ago. I was talking to her daughter, who kept telling me how close her mother felt to Haley. I asked how that was possible, since the two have never met. She said that her mother could hear Haley giggling through the walls, and always responded each time she heard Haley, even during the last week of her life.

That made me cry, then laugh, then cry….then the desire to go and hug my children and hear their laughs and giggles but I am sitting in my office so I look at their photograph and ponder the amazing healing and solace that are our children.

Children are so amazing. How they can inspire us and call us to action, is truely a miracle. Haley is not only an inspiration to you but to all of us. She reminds us all that laughter is truley the best medicine and with every giggle she is giving herself another dose of vitality and restoration. We have all of you in our thoughts all of the time, and we are here for you anytime, anyplace, anywhere. We Love you!

I read the blog tonight, and I was very moved by it. We know that the next few months will be a bit of a ride, but your friends (we all really feel like family) are along for the ride, right there with you. And that precious Haley is going show us all just what [strength] & giggles & of course the finest medical care in all the world can do. And it’s going to be wonderful on the other end, when we all get through this TOGETHER.
